Frank Versus the Vampire

The Heretic

Trick-or-Treat

"I think that true horror is accomplished by slowly getting into your brain. The old way is much more scary."

Sergio Aragones

Inspiration: from Dead End

In response to an invitation by an old college professor the protagonist journeys to a hunting expedition to investigate outbreaks of madness at a sewer. There, the hero discovers an evil design by Norferatu being carried out by prostitutes that endangers tormented souls.

The Tower of Doctor Alienstein

The Tower of Dr. Alienstein
A spin on a classic tale, The Tower of Doctor Alienstein promises chills and thrills.

Available by author at DriveThru RPG.

We do not usually spotlight RPG (role playing game) books but this one seemed appropriately well done and creepy. In short, it caught our eye. Of course, in this setting, if something catches your eye, it's likely to implant the body part into something dead. Why? Because it can. You see . . . creepy.

It is a light hearted (another "Part" ref) setting, inspired by Frankenstein, the works of Ed Wood with a dose of Mars Attacks thrown in for good measure. So sit back and celebrate Halloween in a brand new mad scientist lab.

Consider it a playhouse of alien conspiracy and extraneous body parts. You are sure to enjoy yourself.

Drive Thru:
Day of the Dead

In truth, I prefer the original and have even had a chance to spend time getting know some of the original cast. Gary Klar, among others is class act. That being said, this is a pretty good re-imagination -- not remake. Frankly, the original was darker with more disturbing theme's of man's cruelty. Though, this movie touches on those themes, it seems more concerned with delivering up a dose of pulse pounding action and desperate situations.

In the world of Zompocalypse movies, there are plenty of bad ones. This one - pretty good. Involve your parents kids. This has graphic violence and adult situations.

This is one of my all time favorite horror films. Its unrelenting suspense slowly works its way into your head where, once fully mature, terror becomes horror. Madness, Desperation and depravity - never done better.
